The scribal workshop is for groups and families from all backgrounds with an interest in learning about the Hebrew letters and the world of a Jewish Scribe, in a fun and interactive way. Participants get to write the Hebrew letters with a quill and ink in the traditional way.
After a general introduction and skills based instruction, the workshop focuses on the writing of a specific letter or word from the Torah and builds a theme around it.
An open discussion surrounding the topic such as: The history of the Hebrew letters, Halacha of what makes a Torah kosher, inspirational Torah about the Hebrew letters, and the creative process is encouraged.
