Reb Shlomo had the ability to uplift even the most brokenhearted through his music. This piece is a tribute to him and his students. Written from the first four stanzas of the Kabbalat Shabbat song “Lecha Dodi- Come my beloved”. His melody for this song has become a favorite the world over.
Fittingly, the acronym of these stanzas spells ‘Shlomo’.

Shield of David!🇮🇱
King David- warrior and Psalmist- fought his battles with strength, courage and trust in God.
He united the Tribes of Israel in the effort to establish the Land of Israel and safeguard its people.
We stand up at these times, when rockets are being fired and our enemies conspire against us, in unity and prayer, to strengthen our ties to our people and the Creator of the world.🙏🏼🌍🗝
Written with verses from Deuteronomy 33 and Psalm 121.
